It took about 3 full days start to finish. This mantle came from a Federal Hill rowhome here in Baltimore and was pretty badly mangled with scratches and worn spots when we first met. The top was about 90% gone. I found such a thrill trying to channel the origional artistans technique, the complexity of the veining and the intricate colors used really fun to mimic and bring back to life.
