“Artstar 1″ featured on this blog
http://mystyleanddecor.blogspot.com/
I just had the pleasant experience of taking a trip to North Carolina where some old clients and dear friends purchased several of my paintings…See “ARTSTAR 1″ featured in the master bedroom of this sharply designed house…these guys are amazing btw they have 3 off site storage units full of cutting edge furnishings and they actually “rotate stock” and dress different rooms in their house seasonally. Neither work “in the trade”, but they should. Needless to say Its a huge honor to have my work as a staple element in such a thoughtfully considered environment. Enjoy!

Faux Wood Grain for Simple Elegance
I recently completed a faux painting project for some new friends in Glen Arm, Maryand, the Kropfts!
To crate a warmer and more upscale ambiance in their den, I applied a latex and oil finish to the firewood storage area. Additional embellishment was added by the faux wood-grained shelf. The existing structure was lacking in depth and dimension, but after a simple but sweet overhaul, it’s looking great!

Gold Leaf Ceiling
Gold leaf will transform a variety of surfaces into elegant and hearty painted design.. There are many different kinds of leaf, including silver leaf, bronze leaf and copper leaf, and they come in the form of tissue-thin sheets of metal.
For this project, I used a gold leaf, and brushed it on to the dining room ceiling surrounding the chandelier, and surrounded by custom moulding. The end result was a beautiful and elegant room with a warm and inviting feel.
